Our policies are available for all types of residential properties (e.g., residential dwellings up to six units, condominiums, vacant land, cottages, cooperatives, leased land, etc.) and are competitively priced and backed by solid underwriting expertise.
StewartPROTECT is an optional endorsement called a Closing Protection Letter that is added to residential policies
and covers insured homeowners and lenders for loss or damage due to errors or omissions by the legal professionals acting for them in the provision of legal services for the title insured transaction (e.g., improper advice concerning the terms
of the agreement of purchase and sale).
With StewartPROTECT, when a matter is covered, insureds need not pursue a claim against their lawyer or notary and can instead look for compensation under the title insurance policy. This coverage is available for properties located in Ontario,
Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and P.E.I.
